2. Two Year master’s degree, MSc in Instrumentation and Applied Physics.

About the Department of Applied Science.
The Department of Instrumentation & USIC originally started as the University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) of Gauhati University in 1978, in the Department of Physics, GU, and become a full-fledged academic department in 1986. The department was renamed as Department of Instrumentation & USIC, Gu in 2005. The Department is under the Faculty of Technology, GU. M.Sc Instrumentation has been renamed as M.Sc in Instrumentation & Applied Physics. The department also offers Ph.D Research Program.
