Auniati Satra is a famous Vaishnavite monastery located in North Guwahati. It was established in the 19th century and is one of the most revered satras of the Vaishnavite culture in Assam. During his time, Sankardeva established numerous ‘Satras’ across Assam, Kamrupa, and Coochbihar, becoming the religious ‘headquarters of Vaishnava teachers’.
