Notice regarding Gauhati University FYUGP

NOTICE DATED 14.09.23

This is to notify that for FYUGP under NEP 2020, the formative assessment (sessional/midterm + internal assessment) examination to be conducted by the colleges for the year,2023 will be as per the following break-up.


Full Marks – 100 (For all Papers including core/AEC/Multi-Disciplinary /VAC & SEC)
Paper (without Practical)

Theory (End Term Examination) = 60 Marks
(60% of 100)
Internal/Sessional Examination = 40 Marks
(40% of 100)

Total 100 Marks

Full Marks – 100 (For all Papers including core/AEC/Multi-Disciplinary /VAC & SEC)
Paper (with Practical)


Theory (End Term Examination) = 45 Marks
(60% of 75)
Internal/Sessional Examination = 30 Marks
(40% of 75)
Practical Marks = 25 Marks

Total 100 Marks

The internal examination will be conducted as per the guidelines of sec. 5 & 6 of G.U. regulations of Examination2023, available at G.U. website.


For TDC (CBCS) examination:

For 3rd and 5th Semester of TDC the internal assessment exams will be conducted as per earlier CBCS system.

GU Registration and Exam Form Fill up for the Session 2023-2024

It is notified for all concerned that, the online process for GU Registration and Form Fill Up for the current academic session 2023-24 shall start on the website onlinegu.in from 13 October and shall continue till 17th October 2023.

Before the students start the process on 13th oct, colleges need to create their AVAILABLE
PAPER/SUBJECT LIST FOR THE CURRENT STMESTER in onlinegu.in. Please note thar the ALL SUBJECTS are already populated in the subject-master and the college only need to add their available subjects, / papers on the website.

The Process flow is:

  1. Login with College id password.
  2. Go to Course Management.
  3. Select Programme Name and Semester / year.
  4. Select Core papers frorn the drop down menu.
  5. Press-Add Core paper.
  6. Repeat the above step for all papers your college offers in the current semester.
  7. Repeat the process for all other groups of papers, like SEC/VAC etc.
    The colleges must compete the process within 7PM on 11.10.23.
    (When Students do their Registration + Exam Form Fill up after 13th October, they will only see in the onlinegu.in, those papers that are selected at the college login.)
