This document provides a reference for students submitting their examination forms online through the Samarth student portal of Gauhati University. Follow the steps below to complete your submission.

Login
Step 1
Open the Samarth student portal. The homepage will display three options:
- Login: For already registered students to login using their credentials.
- New Registration: For first-time registration to generate login credentials.
- Reset Password: To reset your password if forgotten.
Note: Use the Enrolment Number assigned on the central admission portal for 2023. If you do not have your enrolment number, contact your college or check the admission portal 2023.
New Student Registration

Step 1
Click on the New Registration button. Enter the following details:
- Programme
- Name (as on ID card)
- Mode of Registration (Enrollment Number)
- Enrollment Number
Step 2
Enter the OTP received via Mail/SMS and verify it. Then set a password for your login. Note down your username for future use.
Paper (Course) Selection Process

Step 1
Login to the Student Portal with valid credentials.
Step 2
After login, you will be redirected to the dashboard. Click on the Courses button to view/select courses related to your programme.
Step 3
In the new window, view and select your courses.
Step 4
Select the courses from the dropdown lists and click on the Submit button.
Step 5
Preview the list of selected courses. You can update your selection, if necessary, by clicking on the Edit button.
Step 6
Confirm your course selection by clicking on the Submit button.
Step 7
A pop-up window will appear for confirmation. Click on the “OK” button. After successful completion, a message will appear indicating the courses have been submitted successfully.
You can print your “Course Selection” history after completing the selection process.
Examination Form Filling

Step 1
Click on the Home button, then click on “Examination” from the left pane, and then on “Registration”.
Step 2
Open your examination form by clicking on the “CLICK HERE” button below your programme. Fill in the following details:
- PWD Status (YES/NO)
- Disability Percentage (if YES)
- Need of scribe in the Examination (if YES)
Step 3

Confirm the selected courses in the Examination Form. Proceed with the final submission by clicking on the Submit Exam Form button.
After successful submission, you can download the examination form in PDF format by clicking on the “Print Application” button on the top right side of the student portal.
