Admission Fees Waved
The Government of Assam will waive the admission fees of students in the said programs under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme. The Eligibility criteria for availing the benefit of the scheme is as mentioned bellow:
Criteria 1
The students whose parental annual income is less than Rs.2.00 lakh from all sources will be eligible to avail this scheme.
Criteria 2
If either of the parents (Father/Mother) of the student is working in State Govt/Central Govt/Semi Govt or Central Govt undertaking, such student will not be eligible under this scheme.
Criteria 3
The students admitted to any Self- Financing Course are not eligible under this scheme.
Criteria 4
The scheme is for regular students only.
Therefore, the admission fees already deposited by the eligible students under this scheme will be refunded. The concerned students of 1 semester of MA/MSc/M.Com are directed to submit the prescribed format of application to the Head of their Department along with the following documents for the refund of admission fees on or before 06/10/2023:
Criteria 5
The Students seeking admission under this scheme will have to plant a sapling at the university( with prior permission from the Estate Office, GU) or at his/her home and shall submit the photograph of the same to the Head of the Department along with the Form. Students must nurse the sapling and, when seeking admission into the 3rd Semester they shall submit a photograph of the same tree planted during the 1st Semester.
Criteria 6
The latest Annual Income Certificate from the Circle Officer/ Head of the institution studied last. The student or his /her parents may submit a Notary/Affidavit also in respect of annual income
Criteria 7
The Admission slip of MA/MSc/M.com program.
Criteria 8
The copy of online admission fee deposit receipt
Criteria 9
Photocopy of first page of student’s Bank Pass Book showing the Account No. IFSC Code No etc.
