The bhog (offering) and prasadam (sacred food) play an integral role in the Satyanarayan Puja, symbolizing devotion and gratitude to Lord Vishnu. The prasadam is prepared with love and purity and distributed among devotees as a blessing.

Common Ingredients for Bhog and Prasadam
- Semolina (Suji, Rava or Aata)
- Ghee (Clarified Butter)
- Sugar
- Milk
- Bananas
- Jaggery (Gur )
Traditional Prasadam Recipe: Satyanarayan Sheera/Halwa
Ingredients:
- Wheat Flour / Aata(1Kg 250 Grams)
- Sugar (1Kg 250 Grams )
- Ghee (1Kg 250 Grams)
- Milk (1 Liter 250 ml)
- Mashed bananas (1 Kg 250 Grams)
- Jaggery (1Kg 250 Grams)
Preparation:
- Aata or Semolina: Heat Jaggery in a pan with water, and add Aata or Suji.
- Prepare the Liquid Mixture: In another pan, mix the milk and dissolve sugar in it.
- Mix: Slowly pour the milk mixture into the Wheat Flour (Aata) mixture while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Add Banana and Ghee: Add mashed bananas and Ghee. Stir well until the mixture thickens.
- Offer and Serve: Offer the prepared Bhog to Lord Satyanarayan during the puja and distribute it as prasadam after the ceremony.

Additional Bhog Items
- Panchamrit: A sacred mixture of milk, curd, honey, sugar, and ghee.
- Fruits: Bananas, coconuts, and seasonal fruits.
- Sweet Dishes: Kheer (rice pudding) or laddoos.
