Eligibility and Requirements
Registered Students Only: Gauhati University exclusively issues the Migration Certificate to registered students. You must surrender your Original Registration Certificate for this purpose.
Fee Payment:
Amount: The Migration Fee is Rs. 1700/-.
Payment Method: Fees must be deposited through SBI Collect. You can find the link on the Gauhati University homepage under the Payment Category “Migration Certificate Fee.” Note that Money orders, Cash, and Bank Drafts are not accepted.
Application Submission:
If you are currently studying or have passed an examination at Gauhati University, submit your application through the last institution where you pursued your studies or appeared for your examination.
Attach a copy of your last Marksheet with the application.
Required Documents: Ensure that you submit all necessary documents:
Original Registration Certificate
Copy of the last Marksheet
Original Money Receipt (to be submitted at the time of receiving the certificate)
Proper documents regarding admission to another university
Special Instructions for M.A. Graduates: If you passed your M.A. A Statutory Administrative Officer of the University must countersign your application form, along with his official seal, for private examination. Be prepared to produce all testimonials at the time of countersignature.
Certification for Non-Examinees: If you have not appeared for any examination under Gauhati University, you must produce a certificate from the Principal or Head of your Institution.
